This guide takes you from the official iKuai custom firmware to an activated SoloIP installation. The firmware is the official installation path; do not install an unknown standalone package.
What you should see when finished
- The router is running the matching official custom firmware.
- The SoloIP plugin is visible in the iKuai plugin market.
- A trial or paid license is active and the plugin opens without an authorization error.
- The plugin status page is ready for the first node and routing rule.
Before you start
- Confirm the router model, CPU architecture, iKuai edition, and current version.
- Export an iKuai configuration backup and keep one management device on a known LAN path.
- Schedule the firmware upgrade outside a critical operating window. The router may reboot.
- Keep the activation code or purchase contact available if the trial is not enabled automatically.
1. Download matching official firmware
Open the firmware download page. Select X86 Free, X86 Enterprise, or the exact ARM hardware model. Match the iKuai version shown on the router; do not use a file for a different edition or model.
2. Upgrade firmware in iKuai
- Sign in to the iKuai administration console.
- Open the system upgrade page and upload the downloaded custom firmware.
- Verify the file name and target model before confirming.
- Wait for the upgrade and reboot to finish. Do not power off the router during this step.
- Sign in again and confirm that the management console is reachable.
3. Open the plugin market and activate access
Open the plugin market in the custom firmware. Find SoloIP and choose Activate trial when the trial is available. If a trial is not offered, enter the activation code or contact official support.
The Studio edition supports device replacement and continuous updates. SK5 perpetual editions are bound to one device and have a fixed feature set.
4. Install and open SoloIP
Install the plugin from the market, then open it from the plugin list. Wait until the service status is running. If the plugin is still starting, wait before importing nodes.
SoloIP is not visible after installation
- Confirm that the firmware upgrade completed and the router rebooted normally.
- Refresh the plugin market and search for
SoloIPagain. - Check that the firmware edition matches the router license.
- Do not upload an independent plugin package. Send the router model, iKuai version, and a screenshot of the market result to support.
Next step
Continue with your first successful route, then verify the public egress IP from the test device.
